Gordon William Gregory
February 17, 1947 - July 3, 2017
Born February 17, 1947 in Leroy, SK, to Frank and Irene Gregory. Moved to Pierceland, SK in 1950, then moved to Wilkie, SK in 1953. After Frank's passing in December of 1954, the family moved to Chilliwack, BC, where Gordon got his schooling and then worked at various jobs until June of 1968 when he was badly injured in a car accident. He then lived the rest of his life in care facilities, until his passing at age 70 on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Heritage Village Residential Care. Gordon became a happy and much loved resident while in their care. He enjoyed calling bingo, delivering the mail to other residents, reading his bible, drawing & colouring, making copious lists of words, starting with one letter of the alphabet, etc. He became known for his rhymes that he kept repeating, and cracking many jokes. The caregivers all loved Gordon and took such good care of him, especially these last few months before his passing. We thank-you all. Many thanks to Dr. Paul Basson for his medical care. Leaving behind are his sisters Marion Webster (Jim), Margie Fisher (Charlie); 4 nieces, Karin, Judi, Kim & Erin; and 1 nephew Bill. A Remembrance gathering will be held at the home of Karin Smith, on Thursday, July 20, 2017, 2-4pm, 47017 Quarry Rd, Chilliwack.
