It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Godfried, our dear husband, Dad, and Grandpa/Granddad, at the age of 93. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Elizabeth (Betty), daughter Dorothy (Bruce), son Phillip (Kathryn), and grandchildren Craig (Savana), Sarah, Stephanie (Michael), and Richard.
Fondly remembered by numerous sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews around the world. Predeceased by his brother, Heinz.
Godfried lived an incredible life and will be forever remembered for his dry sense of humour, his strength and determination, and his many stories about exciting adventures. He spoke numerous languages, loved to learn about wildlife, and had a knack for building and fixing things.
The most important thing to him was his family and friends. They will miss him dearly but take great comfort in knowing he is now at peace. At Godfried's request, there will be no service.
