Glenna Mabel ENGLAND (nee Gunn)

August 3, 2002

Glenna peacefully passed away at home August 3, 2002 in Chilliwack, BC. Born and raised in Foxdale, SK, she married Edward Clausen, 1939-1941 (deceased).

She served in the RCAF 1942-1945 during WWII. She married corporal Leonard England (1946-1993) (deceased) at Patricia Bay, Vancouver Island and moved with him to various postings in Winnpeg, Churchill, Gimley and Lachine.

In 1956, after retiring from the RCAF, Glenna and Leonard returned to BC, living in Haney and New Westminster before making their home in Chilliwack in 1963. Glenna was a licensed homemaker and Watkins distributor. This allowed her to do what she enjoyed the most, interacting with people and making friends and she kept a lot of these friendships during her final years.

Those left to mourn her passing are son Robin Lee England (Linda) of Pitt Meadows, BC; sisters, Jesse Crabbe of Riverside, CA, and Lois Everett of Chilliwack, BC; brother, Victor Gunn of Prince Albert, SK; and sister-in-law, Patricia Gunn of Shellbrook, SK. Also dear friends Mary Kasola of Chilliwack, BC and Pat Brouseau of Hope, BC.

A Memorial Tea will be held for all Glenna’s family and friends at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2002.

To the heavens go thee, Godspeed Mom.
