Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Bev Toop, Donna Clark (Andrew), Terry Sturrock (Fred), Ferne Zimmer (Rob), as well as 8 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 5O years Fred Kendall and her son-in-law Bob Toop.
Gladys was raised in Chilliwack until she married and then moved to Vancouver for 53 years. After her husband passed she returned "home" to Chilliwack where she lived for her remaining 27 years. She was a self-less person who was always concerned and caring for others. "Living to "help others" was her life motto and brought her joy.
Her "Celebration of life" will be held on her 100th Birthday, December 27th, 2018 at Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church, 45187 Wells Road, Chilliwack at 1:00 pm.
Many thanks to all the staff at Valleyhaven Retirement Home for the excellent care given in the last 2 years.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Food Bank would have been her choice.
