Gerald (Jerry) Thomas McEvoy, 73, of Chilliwack BC, succumbed to cancer at his home surrounded by his family on Monday August 11, 2014. Jerry is survived by his loving wife Beverly Jean of 48 years, son Gerald McEvoy Jr (Eileen), Five brothers and two sisters, four loving grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and extended family. Jerry is preceded by his daughter Jacenda Fraser (Ed), his parents, Thomas and Rose McEvoy; as well as six brothers and one sister. Jerry was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. Jerry was a passionate man that loved life for all that is was and his family was the most important thing in his life. After his family the Mount Cheam Lions was his main passion in life followed by hockey, golf and football. His humor, and loving ways will be missed by those that knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 1PM on Saturday August 16, 2014 at the Mt Cheam Lions Hall located at 45580 Spadina, Chilliwack, BC. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the BC Pancreatic Cancer www.pancreaticcancercanada.ca or the Mount Cheam Lions Club.
