Wilfred (George) Johnson peacefully passed away on April 5, 2005 at the Heritage Village Nursing Home. He suffered an ongoing 10 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He bravely fought this debilitating disease till his last breath.

All his life he strove to be the best he could be and so it was with the Parkinson’s; he would not let it slow him down. He was a fighter to the end, trying to continue doing the things he loved most in his life.

Born January 19, 1929 in Blue Sky, Alta., George will be deeply missed by his wife Annette; and three daughters, Laura Remacle, Janet Bogner, and Sandra Johnson. The family was also blessed with three grandsons, Skye Ruttle, and Cody and Tyler Bogner. Also survived by his two sisters, Edith Egyed and Evelyn Grill.

George was predeceased by his parents, Maude and Charlie Johnson; and his two brothers, Ernie and Bert.

Funeral services will be held on April 9, 2005 at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Chilliwack, B.C., followed by a reception at the Rainbow Estates Clubhouse. For further information, please call 604-793-4555.
