George Allan Johnson, late of Chilliwack, B.C. passed away November 26, 2006 at the age of 84. He was born February 3, 1922 in Central Butte, Saskatchewan.
George was a member of the R.C.L. #4. He was a Veteran of WWII and served with 1st Canadian Armoured Brigade in Sicily, Italy, Holland, Belgium and Scotland. He worked for the Elk Creek Waterworks from the time he was 16 until he was 60 years of age.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday December 8th, 2006 at 11:00AM at the Chilliwack Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 46024 Riverside Drive, Chilliwack, B.C. Pastor Jim Wyman Officiating.
George is survived by his 2 daughters: Gail (George) Esau of Chilliwack, B.C.; Norma Jean (Aron) Esau of Holberg, B.C.; 1 son, Ron (Lois) Johnson of Chilliwack, B.C.; 11 grandchildren: Shelley, Pamela, Jennifer, Mary-Anne, Aron, Neil, Brent, Kimberly, Becky, Lizzie and Susie; 1 great-granddaughter, Morgan; 1 daughter-in-law, Shirley Johnson of Chilliwack; 1 brother, Wilfred (Rose) Johnson of Vernon, 1 sister, Thea Kickbush of Chilliwack; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Wilma 1997, son Allan in 2001, Baby Johnson in 1951 1 brother, Ralph , 1944, sister Eva Swanson in 1956.
