Gary Bruce Frankham

June 13, 1935 - May 19, 2019
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Frankham.
He died peacefully in Chilliwack, BC, on May 19, 2019. Gary was born on June 13, 1935, in Victoria. BC, where he grew up and graduated from Vic High. He met his wife Myrna there and they were married in October 1957. They lived in a number of places in BC and then spent 3 1/2 years in the US, before returning to Victoria in 1964. They finally settled in Port Alberni in 1966, where Gary got a job with BC Tel, who he worked for until his retirement in 1991. In 1976 they moved out to Sproat Lake (where Gary had built a beautiful double A-frame home), followed by a move to Nanaimo in 1987, and then in 2011, a final move to Chilliwack. Gary is predeceased by his wife Myrna in 2018. He is survived by his children Kevin (Lisa), Kerrie (Gord), Kendall, and Kristie (Dan), and
his sister-in-law Leila (Dan). He is also survived by his grandchildren Trevor (Kaitlin), Amanda (Beauden), Logan, and Jessi, and his niece Claire (Paul), and great niece Tai. Gary was a hard-working, loving, honest, and supportive person, who possessed a keen wit. He will be dearly missed.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019
at Clayburn Village Church, 4304 Wright Street, Abbotsford, BC at 2 pm.
