Frederick Francis DODSON

Frederick Francis Dodson passed away peacefully on December 17, 2009 at Chilliwack Hospital at age 93 years.

Fred was born in the Midlands, UK in 1915. He was ambitious from day one and became a leading metallurgist. He was in charge of building the famous Spitfires, at Victors Armstrong, Birmingham, UK during WWII. He went on to be an extremely successful businessman. Fred’s passions were Hydroplane Racing and amateur ham radios. He will be remembered by many worldwide for his knowledge and expertise in these fields.

Fred and Edna came to B.C. in his retirement and in latter days enjoyed some of the good hospitality offered by his three favourite restaurants, Bravo, The Greek Islands and Rendezvous.

Fred will be sadly missed by his wife Edna, daughters; Jean and Val; grandchildren, Yasmine, Leigh, Farah, Maria, Soraya and Miguel; and great-grandchildren, Dominique, Cole, Shae, Tyler, Ciara and Kolton.
