Freda White passed away on August 11, 2002 in the Extended Care Unit of Chilliwack General Hospital.
Mum was born in Landour, India in 1914. As an infant, she and her family moved to England. Mum was educated in France and Belgium and emigrated to Canada with her family at the age of 17. They settled in Vancouver, where she lived until 1938, when she married and moved to Revelstoke. Mum lived in Revelstoke for 62 years. Two years ago she moved to Chilliwack to be closer to family. Mum will be fondly remembered by her five children: Madge Craig, Dan (Mary), Susan (Bob) Chambers, Mary (Victor) Woods, Veronica (Peter) Waring, 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Pat and sons Michael and Patrick. Mum was happiest helping others and will be remembered for her compassion and caring. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking and gardening.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 17th, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8909 Mary St. Chilliwack, B.C. Mclean’s Funeral Services in care of arrangements.
