Fred passed away peacefully at the Lynn Valley Lodge, North Vancouver, on Tuesday, April 27, 2004.
Predeceased by his wife Clara in January 2002 and infant son Ted in 1937.
Survived by his daughter Donna, and son-in-law Tony Sawchenko, of West Vancouver and daughter Lynn Martin of Richmond, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Fred was born September 23, 1909 in Artesian, South Dakota, moved with his family to the Vedder Mountain area in 1913 and spent many years with the Fish and Game branch of the Provincial Government, including 7 years as supervisory officer of the Cultus Lake Trout Hatchery.
