Franklin ‘’Frankie’’ Charlie passed away on April 27, 2003 at Chilliwack. He was born January 31, 1990 in Chilliwack.

Frankie is survived by his mother Doreen Clark; father Danny Charlie; stepmother Karen Charlie; his grandmother Christine Wallace; sisters, Danielle, Dorothea ‘’Dodie’’, Arlene, Nicole, Christine, and Caroline; brothers, Steven and Danny Jr.; stepbrothers, William, and Barry Commodore Jr.; nieces and nephews, Randy Lee, Elsie Mae, Nicholas, Elliot, Kenny and Seth Charlie, Christopher and Logan Commodore; aunt and uncle Thelma and Stan and cousin Cassidy Hryckwi.

Frankie was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Dennis and Dorothea Charlie; uncles Edward James, Ernest Gus, Vincent and Walker Stogan, and Stan Joseph; aunts, Caroline (Joseph) Thomas, Christine Clark and Norma Clark.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2003 at 10 a.m. from the Skwah Hall with Robert Nahanee officiating.

Pallbearers are Byron and Dennis Joseph, Sid and Norman Kelly, Joedy Williams, and Lee Steves. Burial will take place at the Skwah Cemetery.

Frankie was raised with the Skwah Indian Band and moved to Surrey in 2000. He was very close to his stepmother Karen, sharing many hopes and dreams with her. He was always concerned with the safety and well-being of all members of his family. He did well in school and dreamed of graduating, getting a good job and helping out his family. Frankie had leadership qualities and had hoped to follow in his fathers’ footsteps as a spiritual leader.
