Frank FROESE

February 22, 2003

On the afternoon of February 22, 2003 Frank Froese succumbed to cancer after a long battle and joined his beloved wife, Valerie.

Frank was never alone in his last few days, continually surrounded and comforted by his family. Singing an Irish Blessing his fellow Barber Shoppers bid him a fond farewell prior to his passing. Frank’s family were all present in his final moments as he slipped away peacefully from their lives.

Family left behind who love and will miss him dearly are brothers, George (Zina) Froese and Victor (Sandra) Froese; children, Eric (Debbie) Froese, Linda (Raymond) Kouwenhoven, Frank Froese Jr., Wes (Debbie) Shields, Terry Shields, Jeff (Sherri) Shields, Sharon (Ken) Munro; and the many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and of course, Callum, his faithful companion.

He is predeceased by Valerie Anne Froese (January 2003), and Marlene Sharon Froese (November 1984).

Among Frank’s many friends, he will be missed greatly by his local bagpipe fraternity (pipebands), the Chilliwack Rainbow Men of Harmony, and the many other clubs and organizations he was involved with.

A service to celebrate the life of Frank Froese will be held at the St. Thomas Anglican Church at 46048 Gore Ave. in Chilliwack on March 1, 2003 at 1 p.m., the Reverend Charlie Lenz officiating. A reception to share in the memories of Frank will follow after the service in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
