Frank Ediger passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Cascade Lodge at the age of 95 years. Frank was born in Orenburg, Russia on October 6, 1917 to Heinrich and Helena Ediger.

In 1925 Dad immigrated to Canada with his mother, brother Peter, half-brother John and half-sister Mary. He married Elfrieda Warkentin on November 24, 1940 and raised five children. After losing his hand in a sawmill accident in 1949, he went into dairy farming and was best known for his custom baling and swathing. He was a man of great faith and loved his family unconditionally. He was a friend to all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his wife, Elfrieda, in May 2012. He is survived by his children Joyce, Walter (Betty), Ronald (Lena), Raymond (Rose), Janet (Lorin), and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at Cascade Lodge and to Dr. Ta for his excellent care. A special thank you to nurse Jane for her caring attention to Grandpa.

A Private Viewing will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave–nue, Chilliwack.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Greendale Cemetery, Watson Road,

Sardis with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:30 pm at Eden Mennonite Church, 46551 Chilliwack Central Road.

Donations in Frank’s memory may be made to Christian Haitian Ministries, 49961 Elk View Road, Chilliwack, BC, V4Z 1A5.
