In loving memory ~

It is with great sadness that the Vollmeier family announces the passing of Francis Joseph Vollmeier after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer.

HewasbornonFebruary22,1958,inVictoria B.C. to Emil and Olga Vollmeier. He grew up in Victoria until his 20's when he left Victoria to work and find a place to call home. After his first marriage ended. He settled in Chilliwack and met an old friend and started a relationship. Darlene was the love of his life. For the next 22 years, he devoted his life to Darlene. They enjoyed managing apartment buildings together, Darlene doing the managing, Frank doing the maintenance. Frank loved building and working with his hands. You would always find him fixing or building something. His other pride and joy was his garden. Frank and Darlene loved to grow vegetables in their garden, there was always extra vegetables and Frank loved to give them to family and neighbours in his community. Frank enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. You never left his home with an empty belly. Frank enjoyed his coffee and was always up for having company over for a good chat and coffee.

Francis was predeceased by his parents Emil and Olga. He is survived by his loving wife Darlene and their dog Elliot, his sisters Theresa Vollmeier, Agnes (Steve) Vollmeier, his nieces Olivia and Hannah. His stepchildren Michelle, Tyson and Colin. His step-nieces Mary (Bob) and Amelia. His step-nephew Robin, and many friends throughout the years.

A celebration of life will be held on May 3, 2025, at the Royal Canadian Air Cadets Hall at 45707 Princess Ave, Chilliwack from 1-4pm.
