Mrs. Frances Constance (Fran) Marks. Sept 6, 1932 - Nov. 1, 2013. I lost my dearest friend and partner but stayed true to my marriage vows through sickness and health and have never regretted it. Now I am about to do the hardest thing I've ever had to do during my 81 years of life. With great sadness, sorrow and despair, I have to say goodbye to my loving, most faithful wife and dearest friend of 59 years, Mrs. Frances Constance Marks (Estabrooks). After a very, very long battle with severe and crippling arthritis and a number of other major medical problems, Frances passed away at 81 years of age at approximately 4:00 am on November 1, 2013 at the Abbotsford hospital, with me, her husband, Earl Jr. by her side. Fran, as she was known by many, was a very tiny lady and born in Sackville, NB, on September 6, 1932. We lived most her married life in Chilliwack. (I was also born in Sackville). Fran loved reading and playing crossword puzzles. Fran was predeceased years ago by her mother Violet; dad Courtney and brother Thorton. She will be sadly and dearly missed by her older sister Irene and brother Donald (Pat); a very large number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Fran requested no service and will be cremated. Those wishing to do so may make a donation to any arthritis society. I will truly and sadly miss my tiny partner after 59 years. Her suffering is over now and I know she is now with her mom and dad and the angels in heaven, she at least deserved that.

I would like to thank a very dear and close friend Mr. Hollis Wry of Vancouver for without his wavering support at the hospital and at home, I really don't know what I would have done! I would also like to thank the doctor and nurses on the third floor of the Abbotsford hospital for their very understanding support and care.
