Frances passed away peacefully at Chilliwack General Hospital in the company of her loving family after a long battle with COPD, pneumonia and heart failure.
She is survived by her daughter, Joanne; sons, David, Ron and Garry; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Frances was born in Grand Prairie, AB; and grew up in Victoria, BC. Frances married a navy man, Ralph Blaine and raised their children in Nova Scotia and Sidney, BC. Here she devoted 20 years in the local Little League Baseball Association, becoming their president. Frances and Ralph then moved to Chilliwack.
Frances was a loving, compassionate and generous lady. She was always the life of the party, the bell of the ball and “Franvira”. She now joins her husband of 59 years. She will be sadly missed.
A big thanks to the caring nursing staff at Chilliwack General Hospital as well as her long time doctor, John Chan, of Abbotsford and Dr. Scott Baker of Chilliwack.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, June 10 at 1:00pm, Vedder View Cemetery, 44675 Watson Road, Chilliwack.
