Florence Marie Spears went to be with the Lord July 6 surrounded by her loving husband of 57 years (Bob Spears) and her children (Brian, Michael and Ann-Marie (Jones)).
She was born in Minto New Brunswick in 1933. In November of 1960 she married and then traveled back and forth across Canada following her husband's military career. She lived in Quebec, Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia. The couple found they loved B.C. and retired in Chilliwack.
She enjoyed many years of camping, fishing and was was an avid hockey and Blue Jays fan. She had a strong faith and family values. She will be dearly missed by all of her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and friends.
The memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack on Saturday July 14th at 10:00 am. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Smith, Dr. Chris and to the very kind and caring staff/volunteers of the Cascades Hospice Center.
They took beautiful care in making our loved one's last days peaceful and comfortable.
