Flo passed away peacefully at her home in Chilliwack on Monday, July 26,2004, after a brief battle with cancer that she fought courageously and with dignitY
Florence was born on January 21, 1935 in Melville, Sask., and resided in Hope for many years prior to moving to Chilliwack recently, where she met her loving husband, Ed Lightfoot.
Flo was passionate about her family and her friends, as well as taking on an active role in organizations such as the Eagles, Legion and Kiwanis. We will miss her keen wit, sense of humour, warm hugs, companionship, and of course her fresh baked goods that put a smile on everyone's face.
She will be tremendously missed by her husband Ed; her loving children, Roland (Linda) of Abbotsford, Randy of Nelson, and Donna (Kevin) of Westbank, Ed's sons, Chris and Peter; as well as her grandchildren, Jason, Shelley, Jocelyn, Brad, and Kyle; sisters, Joan, Barb, Connie, and Edith; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Beverly; former husband Kaz Semenczok; and several brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 1 p.m. in the Chilliwack United Church with Rev. Doug Ireland officiating.
