It is with great sadness that the family of Fernande Marie Minion announces her passing on September 27, 2022 at the age of 96 in Chilliwack, BC.
She was much loved and will be sadly missed by her son Randy (Cindy) and daughter Janice (Steve) and grandchildren Kelly (Alanna), Sarah, & Hannah Minion and grandchildren Ryan (Katie) and Sean (Shyanne) Bergen. She was pre-deceased by her husband and love of 66 years, Ken.
Fern was a retired teacher, who over her life enjoyed golf, skiing, but most of all a great game of bridge. Every day she chose to see the world through beautiful rose-colored glasses and lived every day with genuine gratitude.
Her family is so grateful for all the support and care given to Fern (and her family) by her amazing doctors Dr. Markey and Dr. Wolff. She had a wonderful Home Support team that helped her to live an independent life with dignity until her death. We are especially grateful for her primary care workers Janice and Carla who showed mom so much caring, as well as the kindness and support of all the staff and residents at Lynwood Chartwell over the past 7 years.
