Faye Louise Reichelt

December 1, 1935 - August 23, 2019
Faye passed away August 23, 2019 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 83 years. She was born on Dec 1, 1935 in Nipawin, Sask. She is survived by her sister, Doreen; daughter Cindy Richter (Jesse); son, Martin Reichelt (Anne), her grandchildren, Maranda Hulme (Tyson), Murray Reichelt (Vanessa), and great grandchildren, Scott, Linden and Hunter. She was predeceased by her husband, Les Reichelt.
Faye moved from Saskatchewan to British Columbia in 1948 and married Les in 1957. She and Les operated their trucking companies for most of their married lives but her true passion was horses.
Faye raised and bred thoroughbreds for Hastings Race Park. She was also a volunteer fire fighter for the Popkum Fire Dept for many years before moving up to the South Okanagan area. Her passion for horses carried with her to the Okanagan where you could always find one or two horses in her field.
A memorial tea will be held at the Rainbow Estates Clubhouse, 9055 Ashwell Road, Chilliwack at 2:00pm on September 22, 2019.
