Evelyn Mae Mitchell (nee Watson) formerly of Chilliwack, Cultus Lake and Bralorne, B.C., passed away peacefully Nov. 2, 2003 in Victoria at age 93. Predeceased by her husband, Masse, in 1995. Evelyn was born July 19, 1910 and grew up on her parent’s (John & Edith Watson) farm on South Sumas Road near Chilliwack. Evelyn and Masse were married in 1935 and lived in Bralorne until they retired to Cultus Lake in 1967. Evelyn is survived by her son Kenneth (Jean) Mitchell of Victoria; 2 grandsons, Ian and Eric; and her sister Marguerite Brawn of Staples Settlement, NB. The family thanks her many friends for their loving support. A Remembrance Service and tea will be held Nov. 12 at 1:30 pm at the Cultus Lake Memorial Church with Rev. Weldon Holland officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Cultus Lake Memorial Church Fund, Lymphoma Foundation Canada, or other charity. Evelyn was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. Her memory will be cherished by all those she touched.
