Died February 19, 2007 at age 101 in the Bradley Centre.
Lyn was born in Morningside, AB on December 15, 1905 to Isaac and Jessie Mossop. She lived briefly in Huntington before moving to Ryder Lake to homestead with family and stepfather, George Wright.
After attending a one-room school, she went down to the valley in her teens to do housework. After marrying in 1928, she was a homemaker raising three children during the depression while her husband, Vic, inaugurated regular garbage collection in Chilliwack.
In 1959 they found their dream property at Foothills Farm on Upper Prairie Road, where they spent many enjoyable years overlooking the Chilliwack Valley.
Predeceased by husband, Vic, in 1978 and infant son, Deane, in 1940, and by all her siblings.
Survived by two sons, Doug Gibson of Ryder Lake, and Jim Gibson of Toronto, and daughter, Joan Adair, of Revelstoke, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and niece Carol (Wright) Murray.
Her ashes lie in the Anglican Cemetery overlooking the valley that she had loved so dearly and called home for a century.
