Eunice passed away at home after a battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). She is survived by Alec, her husband of 40 years, and one sister (Eileen).

Eunice was born in North Battleford, SK and attended a one-room school at Metropole until the family moved to Chilliwack in 1945, where she graduated from CSS in 1950. She attended Provincial Normal School and UBC where she completed her BA (1957) and MA, and then U. of Oregon (PhD, 1971/MBA 1987). She taught 8.5 years in the public schools, primarily at Kitsilano Secondary in Vancouver, and 19 years in colleges & universities (Manitoba; Waterloo; College of New Caledonia) and overseas in Japan and China. Eunice enjoyed foreign travel and was skilled in needlework. Her final project received the “Best in Show” award at the NCW District Fair in 2011.

A drop-in tea in memory of Eunice will be held at #1201, 9197 Mary Street on June 26 from 2-4pm.
