Eugenia Florence ‘Jean’ Dubeau (nee Abram)

May 9, 1947 – September 4, 2021
Jean Dubeau passed away in Kamloops, BC, at 74 years of age, after a brief struggle with cancer. Jean was the first of nine children born to the Abram family, long-time residents of Agassiz.
She was raised on the family farm in Agassiz, and spent most of her adult years at the family farm in Ruby Creek, before retiring to Kamloops.
Jean is survived by daughters Annette LeBlanc (Graham) and Rose Dubeau; grandchildren Jason, Jessica, Daniel, Fidele Jr. and Johnny; great-granddaughter Tallulah; siblings Vivian Danielson (Dean Spicer), Elizabeth Shankoff (Alex), Cathy Abram, Marilyn Abram and Gerald Abram.
She is remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews, and many of them enjoyed spending time at the Ruby Creek farm, and picnics and swimming at Kawakawa Lake.
Jean was predeceased by her husband, Marcel Dubeau; parents Jozef and Annie Abram; sisters Julie Abram and Valerie Abram; and brother Larry Abram.Jean worked hard all her life, and life was not always easy, but she never lost her sense of humour and compassion for the elderly and ill, and people going through hard times.
She was a volunteer for the Lion’s Club, and enjoyed floor curling and bingo in her retirement years. Jean’s family are grateful for the kindness and support of friends and relatives, particularly Cousin Cathy Forsythe and her neighbours on Glenfair Drive.
Family and friends of Jean Dubeau plan to celebrate her life in the summer of 2022.
