Ethel passed away peacefully at Cascade Lodge, Chilliwack, BC with family at her side on January 2nd, 2009 at the age of 87. Ethel was born on November 6th, 1921 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Ethel is survived by sons Bruce (Colleen) Wenn and their children Andrea, Patrick and Tamia, Brian (Shirley) Wenn and their children Paul and Scott, Bob (Shelagh) Walker and their children Christopher, Kimberly and Zachary, sister Doris (Lewis) Borland, many nieces, nephews, and her dear friend, Rod Fraser. She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Emily Ward and her niece Joan May.
Ethel was born and grew up in Saskatoon, SK where she met and married Phillip Wenn on November 8th 1941. She moved to Vancouver in 1965 and finally settled in Chilliwack in 1978 to be near her family. She enjoyed bowling, lawn bowling, golf and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by those who knew her.
The family wishes to thank the caring and compassionate staff at Cascade Lodge for their care and support during mom’s last few months.
At Ethel’s request there will be no service. A family celebration of Ethel’s life will be held at a later date.
