Ethel passed away peacefully at sunset on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at age 86.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Karl. Loving mother of Katherine (Peter) Watson, Karen Snider, Karl (Anne) Snider and Krista (Tim) Sarmatiuk. Very proud Granny to Liam Watson (Erin Despard), Christie Watson (Emelia Symington-Fedy), Angeline Watson (Diarmuid Daltun), Eamonn Watson (Nikki Short), Michael Labine, Jessica Schurman, Curtis, Zachary, Owen (Cynthia Veitch) and Megan Sarmatiuk. Great -Granny to Aleen, Arthur, Obidiah, Maraike, Jannic, Saoirse, Aoife, James and Emily. Sister of Violet Edwards, Shirley Elchuk and Larry (Darlene) Elchuk.
Many thanks to the staff at 5 East Unit at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus for their compassionate and tender care.
Ethel's life will be celebrated by the family at a later date, with inurnment at Pinecrest Cemetary in Ottawa. Regardless of where in the world she lived, she was always a Chilliwack girl at heart.
