January 11, 1929 - June 12, 2022
Passed away peacefully on Saturday June 12th 2022 at the Cascades. Phyllis, as her family and friends knew her, was born in Toronto, Ontario, January 11th, 1929. In 1953, Phyllis met her husband Jerry and they married in March of 1954.
Phyllis lived the life of a military wife where she moved from Ontario to Germany back to Ontario before moving to BC. During this time Phyllis and Jerry raised their 3 children Gary, Valli, and Kevin. Phyllis became very involved with the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branches 4 and 280.
Phyllis is survived by her sons Gary (Diane) and Kevin, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, her sister Beverly Williams, Shaaron Leask (Kevin's former spouse), several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Jerry 1996 and her daughter Valli 2015.
We wish to thank the staff at both Bradley Center and Cascades for the care Phyllis received these past 2 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House as children was Phyllis' family focus
A family only celebration of life will be held at a later date.
