Ernst Paul ULLRICH

June 12, 2006

After a lengthy battle with cancer, Ernst (Ernie) Ullrich passed away peacefully on June 12, 2006. He is survived by his devoted wife, Anneliese, his three children, Christine (Wade), Susan (John) and Jan (Jeannette); seven grandchildren, Kelsey, Kari, Courtney, Kaylyn, Liam, William, Stephanie; three sisters in Germany, Magdalena, Ruth and Eleonore; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ernst was born in 1931 in Prauss, East Germany. He was a blacksmith by trade and a very hard worker. Ernst immigrated to Canada in 1957 and established his own business repairing and manufacturing farm machinery, first in Niverville, Manitoba for 15 years and later in B.C. on Prairie Central Rd.

Ernst showed his love by providing for his family. The family, many friends and neighbours will miss him. Ernie will live on in our hearts.

In honor of Ernie’s request, no service will be held. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Thank you Dr. Enns, Dr. Schopf, Dr. Demetre (Vernon), the nursing staff at C.G.H., home care nursing, palliative support, the nursing staff at the extended care unit and the Hospice Society for their excellent care and concern.

Respectfully suggested in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Spinal Muscular Atrophy, SMA Canada, Box 22024, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 6Y9.
