With deep sadness we write to announce Ernie Lorne Hussack passed away suddenly at his Chilliwack home due to a heart condition. Born in Sherridon, Manitoba, he was the only child from the union of widower John Hussack, and Marie Steciuk, and after the former passed away, grew up with the support of his two brothers. As a member of the Canadian Forces, he travelled the country with his wife for nearly a decade, suffering through numerous injuries, those who could not pronounce his first name, and thyroid cancer.
When he was posted to Chilliwack in the early 80s, he left the military as he had found his paradise. In civilian life he built several homes, attended GR Tech, and volunteered with various groups, including the Citizens on Patrol, and VETS Canada. His passions included classic cars, various collectibles, and spending time with his comrades at the Anavets 305. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Eugene, and wife Faye, a loss he never overcame. He is survived by brother Mervin (Yvette), and his only child Devon (Rebecca Hartley).
