Ernest Shergold passed away on Friday December 2, 2005 in Chilliwack, BC at age 88 years. He was born in Vancouver, BC on October 13, 1917.
Ernie is survived by his good friend, Melita Summers; his daughters, Edna (Michael) Echeveria of Lethbridge, AB, Carol (Don) Taylor, Fort St. John, BC and Dixie (Robert) Kline, Redway, AB; son, Ernest Shergold the 4th, Golden, BC; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many good friends.
He was predeceased by his former wives.
Ernie was a veteran of the Second World War, training as a rear gunner in the Air Force. Thankfully the war was ended before he was called to duty. Ernie was a man of many talents and will be missed by all his family and close friends.
Burial will take place on Monday, December 12 at 10:30 am at Mountainview Cemetery, 5455 Fraser St. Vancouver, BC; Major Angus Haggarty officiating. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2005 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack, BC
