Erna Warnke (Krieger)

January 3, 1929 - June 21, 2024

Erna Warnke went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2024 at Cascade Hospice at the age of 95. Erna was born on January 3, 1929 in Hay Lakes, Alberta to Ludwig & Bertha Krieger. She married Herman Warnke on October 29, 1954 and moved to Chilliwack, BC in 1959 where they raised their family. Erna worked as a seamstress in Edmonton Alberta until she moved to British Columbia. She then became a devoted wife & mother raising her children. The family attended First Avenue Christian Assembly where she was very active in Women's Ministries at the church throughout the years. Erna lived her life to the fullest with Herman, firstly raising their children and then travelling as a family. Erna travelled a lot camping with Herman, babysitting her grandchildren and then gradually travelling with them as well. She loved to read and sew. Her favorite times were doing craft fairs with her family. Erna is lovingly remembered by many. Her children Douglas(Patricia) Warnke, Terry Krenz, her grandchildren Daniel, Kodie and Dylan Krenz, and Robyn (Tyler) Warnke. She also leaves behind her sister Gertie Klatt, brother Alfred Krieger and sister-in-law Alice McKay. She was predeceased by her husband Herman Warnke, son-in-law David Krenz, her parents and six of her siblings.

Viewing will be held Saturday July 6, 2024 @ 11am at Woodlawn Mt Cheam Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1pm @ Vedder View Gardens Cemetery on Watson Rd. The Funeral Service will follow at 2pm at Woodlawn Mt Cheam Funeral Home, with a reception to follow.
