Todd, Erma Laura passed away at Heritage Village, Sardis BC on Monday, March 9, 2009 at the age of 93 years.
Erma was born Erma Laura Claggett in Melfort, Saskatchewan, on November 30, 1915 the daughter of James Claggett and Annie Groat.
She grew up in Melfort marrying Edwin (Ted) James Todd on March 24, 1939. They lived in Melfort and Rosetown, SK., as well as Field, Revelstoke and Sicamous, B.C. Following Ted’s death, Erma resided in the Chilliwack area for the last 20 years.
Erma is survived by one sister, Faye Ennis, of Petersburg, Alaska; her children: Carol (Gerald), David (Arlette) and James (Susan); grandchildren: Bret (Heather), Laurie (Tom), Chris, Shannon, Scott (Puspa); great-grandchildren: Taylor, Kyle, Luke, Liam and Edwin.
Her husband, Ted, her mother and father, brothers Clifford and Kirby, sister Vera, and grandson’s Kevin and Cory Conkin predeceased her.
Cremation was chosen and the family will have a service and interment later this summer at Sicamous.
We would like to thank all the support staff, care workers, nurses and doctors who helped to take care for her over the past 20 years.
Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
