Eric Lee Polson (Koban)

May 27, 1963 – March 12, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Eric. Eric passed peacefully at his home in Burnaby at the age of 58. Eric is predeceased by his father, Ron Polson, and his mother, Peggy Koban. He is survived by his two daughters, Reanne (Nick) Howden and Madeline Beerwald along with their mother, Sue Beerwald, brother Sean (Sandi) Polson and their three children Taryn (Gerald, and daughter Everly), Alexandra and Troy, and many aunts, uncles and their families. Eric is lovingly remembered by his long time companion, Kimberlea Berkeley, and many great friends and associates.
Eric was born in Edmonton, Alberta but raised in Vancouver. He graduated from Vancouver College where he excelled in both football and especially basketball. Big “E” was known for his grace, talent and teamwork on the court and his humour, charisma, and charm off the court. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed his time with family and friends in nature. He was an exceptional golfer in his early years and over the last several years enjoyed his daily bike rides and swims. In recent years, Eric was very proud to have gotten his Métis status and reconnect with his church.
He will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Celebration of Life to be held on April 9, 2022, 12 noon at Connaught Heights Assembly, 2201 8th Avenue, New Westminster, BC.
