Eric went to heaven on Valentine's Day to join Sally, his wife of 63 years. He was also reunited with his son Edward, great grandson Drayton Scott, two brothers Roy and John Dilk and many other relatives. He was born on a farm near Shell River, Manitoba in 1923. He married in 1943, had 8 children, including 2 sets of twins. They farmed on the prairies until 1969, when they moved to Chilliwack BC., where he developed a small hobby farm and built houses.
Dad was a kind, gracious and generous man, always available to help anyone in need. He had a deep faith in God and was actively involved in the Chilliwack Baptist Church. He loved to read and sing. We know he is enjoying singing with the angels! He will forever be in the hearts of his children: Sharon (Harold) Holland, Shirley (Alfred) Bartel, Art (Iris) Dilk, Bev (Don) Neufeld, Allan (Faye) Dilk, Linda (Allan) Jersak, Kenn Dilk, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Our family would like to thank all the home support workers who cared for dad in his home for years, and the staff at Eden, and Heritage Village Care homes for the past 3 years. Your hard work and support was very much appreciated.
