Emily Theodora Fleming, “Dora”, quietly passed away on December 14, 2007 at Chilliwack General Hospital.

She was born March 15, 1916 at Belcarras, Saskatchewan and as a child moved with her family to Vancouver where she grew up.

In 1935, she met her late husband, William John Fleming, and the two were united in marriage on July 25, 1942.

Dora was also predeceased by her parents Samuel and Emily, sister Lillian, twin brother Max and sister- in- law Gloria.

Dora loved dogs throughout her life. She was also an avid tap and square dancer in her younger days.

She volunteered with the Chilliwack Hospital Auxiliary for close to four decades and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends as an outgoing, fun loving person who lived life to the fullest.

Dora is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Katherine, their children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family.

A private family service was held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Vancouver on Wednesday, December 19, 2007.

A special thank you to Doctor’s Bartel, Oostenbrink and Dueck, in addition to the nursing staff at the Chilliwack General Hospital for their kindness, care and support towards both our mother/grandmother/great- grandmother and our family.
