Emil Kuhn. March 2, 1930 - Dec 10, 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emil Kuhn surrounded by his loving family. Emil was born in the Ukraine, the youngest of 11 children. Emil survived many hardships in his early years immigrating to Canada in 1948 with his mother and five sisters settling in Frobisher, Sask. Emil married his sweetheart, Adele Hirsekorn in 1954. Emil worked for the CPR for a number of years before moving onto Canada Packers in Brandon, Manitoba, lastly establishing himself at an Agricultural Research Station which allowed a move to Agassiz, BC in 1977 where Emil enjoyed a full life, retiring in 1995 and living out his retirement with family and friends. Emil and Adele raised three children - 2 daughters and a son and their family has grown to include 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Emil was devoted to his Lord and never wavered in his faith throughout his life. Love of the Lord and his family were evident to all. He helped build two churches and was always involved to further God's Kingdom. No matter who you were, he had a way of making you feel special. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Adele and his 3 children Donna (Rob), Roselyn (Michael) and David (Audrey) and their families. Also survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother; Meta, Frieda, Marie and Hubert.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church 8871 School St, Chilliwack on Monday December 16th at 11:00am; lunch to follow and Internment at Chilliwack Cemetery.
