It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emil, loving husband,father and papa.
Emil passed away peacefully in the company of family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Emil came to Chilliwack at the age of 4 with his family and was an active member of the community all of his life.
Emil touched the lives of many people along the way thru his involvement with his work, charities, sports and community projects.Emil is survived by his wife of 50 years Marilyn and by daughters Patricia (Russ) Glenda (Barry) and son Garth (Debbie) and by his nine grandchildren. Emil is also survived by his sisters Deloris and Delphine.
A warm thank-you to the staff at Chilliwack Hosptial and the Home Support staff for their kindness and care.
A special thank-you to Dr Basson for his friendship and compassion.
A memorial service will be held at Carmen United Church, 7258 Vedder Road in Sardis at 2pm on Friday October 5th.
If so desired donations may be made in Emil’s honour to the Childrens hospital.
