Our beloved mother and Oma passed peacefully into our Lord’s presence at the age of 77, surrounded by her family.
Emmy was born in Zevenaar, Holland, the oldest of three children.
She is survived by her loving husband, Christiaan, of 45 years; sons John (Lillian) and Gerry (Alison); grandchildren Matthew and Amy; brothers Jan and Eddy Kleinpenning and many other family and friends in Holland and Australia.
Emmy is predeceased by her parents, Gerardus and Petronella Kleinpenning and her first born infant son.
Above all, the most important thing to Emmy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and oma.
Emmy was a gracious hostess to all who crossed her path, even while suffering through poor
health. Her Catholic faith gave her strength throughout her life and has been passed on to her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack, BC on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Presider, Rev. Seamus Mackrell.
Graveside to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery with a luncheon to follow after the burial.
