Elsie (nee Frederick) Stehr passed away peacefully Friday, February 9, 2007 at the age of 91 years old. Elsie was born on April 9, 1915 in Biggar, SK. She was predeceased by her parents, Gustave and Rose Frederick, her husband Fred, her brothers Albert and Paul and one sister, Martha. Elsie is lovingly remembered by her children, Ron (Eileen), Ferndale, Wash., Kelvin (Karen), Langley, BC, Lionel (Marilyn), Saskatoon, SK, and Perry, Chilliwack, BC, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sister Ida Johns and numerous nieces and nephews. Elsie was born on April 9, 1915 in Biggar, SK. She had many fond memories of her childhood on the family farm. Fred and Elsie were married in Winnipeg in 1943, after which they worked in Northern Ontario for a short time. They then farmed in Shellmouth, MB and Churchbridge, SK. They retired to Chilliwack, BC where they spent many enjoyable years camping, bowling and traveling. Elsie returned to Saskatchewan in the summer of 2003 and lived in Saskatoon which was very meaningful to her as she could enjoy the open prairie sky of her youth. The family would like to thank Dr. Goluboff and Circle Drive Special Care Home for the compassionate and loving care that our mother received.
