October 4, 2018
Passed away on October 4, 2018 in her 94th year. Born in Lancaster, England in 1924, Lilian grew up traveling all over England, Ireland and Scotland with her parents who were Salvation Army officers.

Lilian met Doug Glover, the love of her life, when they were both working at a scout camp. They married in 1947 and ten years later emigrated to Canada with three children, Carole, Stephanie and Nigel. They settled in Kelowna where their youngest child, Valerie, was born. Doug's work took them to Nelson in 1967 and when he retired in 1992 they moved to Chilliwack to be closer to family.

Lilian and Doug celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 1997 and were invited to London to celebrate with the Queen. They both enjoyed music and were members of the Chilliwack Academy of Music for many years singing with the Festival Chorus Choir. After Doug's death in 2002 Lilian continued her involvement with the Probus Club and was a founding member of the Promontory Lake Crown Jewels.

Lilian was immensely proud of her 12 grandchildren and delighted in her 12 great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by Carole Eyles (Natasha, Tony); Stephanie and Tim Ledger (Nicholas, Bryony, Rhiannon); Nigel and Stacey Glover (Erika, Kayla, Ajia, Danny, Ryan); Valerie and Dean Monty (Jacquie, Shaun) her extended family and her many friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Chow the doctors and staff of Cascades Hospice and the home care support staff of Fraser Health for their care of Lilian in her last weeks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cascades Hospice. (chilliwackhospice.org/donate/)

A memorial service will be held at Carman United Church, 7258 Vedder Rd in Chilliwack, on Saturday November 3rd at 2 pm.
