Elma Haines passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2002 at Eden Intermediate Care Center in Chilliwack, at the age of 88 years. She was born December 4, 1913 in Winnipeg, Man.
Elma is survived by her children, Douglas Haines, Shirley Dueber, Gail Quick, Walter A. Haines, Jr., and Sharon Nowlin; also numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter A. Haines; one sister Ethel Wood; and two brothers, Gordon Rogers, and Waldo Rogers.
Elma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was also a hospital volunteer, and a member of the Royal Purple.
A Memorial Tea will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2002 at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home in Chilliwack. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice.
