Ellen Ruth (Fitch) Barton passed peacefully on April 18, 2007 in her 99th year.
Ellen was born in Evarts, Alberta on March 12, 1909.
She was predeceased by her husband George in 1967 and daughter Jean Riggins in 2002.
She is survived by her daughter Betty Elkin and son Victor (Peggy). Also her brother, Cecil Fitch, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
George and Ellen settled in Vedder Crossing in 1950 where they ran a service station for many years. Ellen was very active in Red Cross, Cooke’s Ladies Guild and the Orange Lodge.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Bradley Centre for their excellent and loving care Mom received.
