Ella Haave, born July 8, 1915 at Loreburn, Saskatchewan went to be with her Lord January 26, 2009.

She was predeceased by her husband Carl in 1989 and by three brothers and two sisters. She leaves to mourn her children: Doris (Dr. Bill) Dahl, Lawrence (Marie) Haave, Marvin (Nina) Haave, Juanita (Harvey) Stalwick; 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, five sisters and one brother.

She has had many interests in life, serving her Lord Jesus in  the Church, singing in the choir and using her skilled hands.

She was a loving mother and a gracious hostess. There was always room at her table for unexpected guests. She learned to do many crafts: sewing, dressmaking, spinning, weaving, needlework, jewellrey making and pottery. Most of all she is remembered by 28 of her great grandchildren for the baby quilts she designed and made for each of them. The last two quilts were made in her 90th year.

Since a major stroke event in 2005 she has been cared for in Valleyhaven and Cascade Lodge. The family would like to thank Dr. Paletta and all those who have so lovingly cared for her.

A Memorial Service will be held to honour her memory on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 2:30 pm at Christ Lutheran Church, 9460 Charles St., Chilliwack, B.C. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice. Her favoured charities were; Canadian Lutheran World Relief, World Mission Prayer League, Vancouver Children’s Hospital and the Canadian Bible Society.
