Elizabeth (nee Kormendi) Ziegler passed away peacefully on May 15, 2008.
She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Troy Ziegler (Chantal and great-grandson Zachary), Terri Ziegler, her sister Mary and the Boule family, along with the Kormendy family and her many friends.
Elizabeth was born February 14, 1915 in Ubach Overwormf, Holland and moved to Canada in 1923 with her family, residing in Drumheller, Alberta.
In 1932, Elizabeth married Robert Ziegler and had two sons, Fredrick and Leo.
In the 1950’s Elizabeth and her family moved to Rosedale and then finally in 1959, residing in Chilliwack in the home she has lived in ever since.
Throughout her life, Elizabeth worked on her farm, and then retired in Chilliwack as a drycleaner’s assistant but nothing compared to her role as ‘gardener’.Elizabeth spent the last 50 years of her life working in her garden, she believed in hard work, composting and took great pleasure in tending to her beautiful roses.
She will be remembered as a loving great-grandmother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to those who loved her so much.

A memorial service will be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 1:00 pm.
