Our Beloved Mother Elizabeth Vancha (Baba) passed away peacefully on February 12, 2013 with family by her side. Elizabeth knew her savior Jesus Christ and shared her beliefs with family and friends alike. She was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on August 25th, 1940. Elizabeth was a vibrant and intelligent lady with a zest for life; she loved to spend time with family & friends. She worked as a seamstress and she could be found knitting, crocheting or doing some sort of crafts in her spare time. She had a very loving and giving heart and would help anyone, in any way she could. Some of the happiest times in her life were when she served others. People were drawn to her because she had such a gentle manner and genuine kindness towards her fellow man. She was predeceased by her father & mother John & Annie Lactin and her brother Fred Lactin. She is survived by her brother John Lactin, sisters Helen Sookerukoff (Peter) and Joan Saviskoff, daughter Natasha Gilbertson (Gil), sons Robert Sookerukoff, Darcy Vancha and daughter Angela Vancha, Grandchildren Destinye Garbet (Kris), Contessa Sookerukoff, Jesse Vancha and Brendan Vancha and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers or donations the family asks you to pay it forward, in a random act of kindness to someone in need in her memory. Elizabeth’s final wishes were to be cremated and to have no service.
