Elizabeth Maude Geddes passed away on September 27th, 2009 at Cascade Hospice at age 87 years. She was born on April 28th, 1922 in Chilliwack, BC.

Elizabeth is survived by Edward of Rob, Alta; Albert (Linda) of Louis Creek, BC, Ann Schneider of Agassiz, BC, Jim (Sheri) of Saskatoon, Sask., Janey (Russell) Caine of Red Deer, Alta., 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sister Joan Brannick, brothers Colonel and Lee Moore, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by husband Edward (Scottie) Geddes, brother Walter Moore, sister Darlene Alchorne, daughter-in-law Carol Geddes, daughter-in-law Rose Geddes, and son-in-law Dennis Schneider.

Elizabeth was an Honorary member of Job’s Daughters, a well-liked and respected member of the East Chilliwack Women’s Institute, Ruth Rebekah Lodge #4, Order of Eastern Star #49, and the United Church Women. Elizabeth enjoyed volunteering her time at the Chilliwack Museum, Mt. Shannon United Church, and the Rosedale United Church.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack. Burial will be held at the Chilliwack Cemeteries following the Service. Pallbearers are: grandchildren Dwight Schneider, George Geddes, James Caine, Robert Caine, Shelly White, and Lindsay Geddes.
