Elizabeth HAUCH

May 15, 2007

My mother passed away on May 15, 2007 at the Menno Intermediate Care Home in Abbots–ford at the age of 95 years. She was born on March 8, 1912 in Chemnitz, Germany.

She is survived by her loving and caring daughter, Lori (Hannelore) Tribes, and daughter-in-law Monika (Vic) Boychuk of Round Hill, Alberta. She was the proud Oma of Mike Tribes of Whitehorse, Yukon; Monica (Jochen) Petersen, Christina Hauch Ansorger, Sangudo, Alberta; and Elizabeth Hauch, Camrose, Alberta; and Oma Hauch to six great-grandhildren.

She will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews and many good friends in BC, Alberta and Germany.

My mother’s sweet smile, love for music and her faith and compassionate care for others will always be remembered. Mom loved to play the organ and served as organist in her church in Barrhead, Alberta for some 34 years and sang in the church choir. Her church was her life and the many people she cared for in the senior’s home and hospital.

My mother loved to travel, particularly to a health resort every year to Bad Pyrmont in Germany. The last trip was in 1997.

A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Barrhead, Alberta on June 25, 2007.
