July 1, 1951 - January 30, 2020
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the loss of Elizabeth Ann Orr (Liz) who passed at home on January 30, 2020 with her husband at her side. A short but devastating illness took our beautiful lady much too early from everyone that loved her.
Liz was born on July 1, 1951 to parents Jack and Louise Stuckey of Twillingate, Newfoundland. She arrived in Chilliwack in the early 80's after a few detours in different Provinces along the way. She met her husband Paul in 1992 and they married in 1997. Liz worked in many careers, cooking and baking, book-keeping and private eying and excelled in all of them. Her most memorable times were when she was the lead singer in the band "Runaway"which many will remember as she had an unforgettable voice.
Liz was a role model for being a loving wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother. Wherever Liz went, her infectious smile and friendly demeanour drew people, especially children to her. Many children that are now adults will remember her fondly for the summer vacation times and open-door policy that she had for them. She was compassionate and sharing and always had time to support and care for others. The days will now always be longer without her laughter and wit which we all loved so much.
She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild very much. Liz is survived by her husband Paul, her five sisters (Margaret, Marina, Carol, Jackie & Diane), her three brothers (Ira, Walter & Jerry), her daughters and their families - Tracy (Gordon, Michael & Kristyn and great-granddaughter Lacey), Becki (Brooklynn, Sydney & Silas), Dana (Bobby, Andrew, Kylie & Emilie), her sons Jason (Aiden & Austin) and Clint (Declan). Liz was pre-deceased by both her parents and her grandson Tristan (Becki).
She lived a happy life and was very content with her family and her home. She always enjoyed the winter days feeding and caring for the hummingbirds that she pretty much adopted. Instead of flowers, Liz would hope that you could continue to care for these tiny birds as well.
A celebration of Liz's life will be held at 1 pm on February 22, 2020 at the Mt. Cheam Lions Hall at 45580 Spadina Ave. Chilliwack.
All are very welcome to attend.
Love you Skyfulls Babe.
