Elizabeth Anker —Verwoert passed away at home on October 4, 2003 at the age of 93. She was born in Berkenwoude, The Netherlands on February 1, 1910.
She is survived by her 10 children: Jennie (John) Veldhuizen of Woodstock, Ont., Frances Anker of Nooksack, Wash., Richard (Lynn) Anker of Lynden, Wash.,
Marie (Chris) Neels of Rosedale
Bill (Wini) Anker of Lake Errock,
John Anker of Sumas, Wash.
Elizabeth Nykun of Hackettstown, New Jersey
Gary Anker of Sumas, Wash,
Gib (Cindy) of Everson, Wash.
Jacob (Ruth) Anker of Everson, Wash.
She is also survived by numerous grand and great grandchildren. Elizabeth was predeceased by her loving husband, Jan Hendrik in 1990, her 2nd husband Teunis Verwoert in 1998 and son Marty Anker in 1989.
Services will be held in the Reformed Congregation of North America on Thursday, Oct. 9th at 1:00 pm with Rev. T.R. Treur officiating. Pall bearers will be Richard Anker, Bill Anker, John Anker Gary Anker, Gib Anker and Jacob Anker. Internment at Chilliwack Cemeteries. If friends and family so desire, donations can be made to the North America Building Fund.
